Both parties have been working side-by-side as partners since April 2020.

Students and teachers around the world have been rapidly adjusting to a new learning routine as schooling shifted online, as a means to curb the spread of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

By partnering with Huawei, Ankabut is continuously able to offer cloud services in support of the UAE’s universities and schools, addressing the need to develop new clouds for educational institutions in the country.

“This project represents one of the largest investments made in the UAE’s education sector in 2019, and will strengthen the UAE’s position as a regional leader in educational services,” said Fahem Al Nuaimi, CEO of Ankabut.

“Huawei’s technology enables us to offer cloud services to our partner institutions throughout the UAE, which makes the academic process more efficient, reduce expenses, and boost collaborative work, which benefits education and research facilities alike.”

Dongyue Ouyang, Managing Director of Huawei UAE Enterprise Business Group, commented, “Ankabut is a forerunner in taking advantage of the most advanced ICT solutions and services, using them to improve the UAE’s academic and educations institutions networks. We are proud to be Ankabut’s new cloud solution provider, and believe this partnership plays a key role in supporting the national targets and vision of UAE, leading the way towards creating a knowledge-based, diversified economy, through improving the education infrastructure.”

Huawei solutions implemented in the partnership include full cloud stack solutions such as Huawei Cloud Stack, a full-stack hybrid cloud solution; Huawei CloudFabric, a software-defined network solution that provides seamless intra-data center and inter-data center cloud connectivity for physical, virtual, or container-based workload and applications, and OceanStor Dorado V6 Flash Native All-Flash Storage.
