Florida’s Department of Transportation (FDOT) has rewarded a smart mobility infrastructure company a contract worth $5m to improve traffic flow in Tampa.

Amazon has announced the expansion of its robot delivery field tests to two new locations in the United States: Atlanta, Georgia and Franklin, Tennessee.

Moovit, the mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) solutions firm, has launched Way Finder which features the use of augmented reality (AR) to help users better locate stations and stops. 

Segway has launched the S-Pod, a new self-balancing two-wheeler wheelchair which moves at a speed of up to 24 miles per hour.

Uber said it has acquired computer vision startup Mighty AI to help advance its technology for self-driving cars.
