Qatar has unveiled Khadoom, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered personal assistant that aims to revolutionize daily task management through WhatsApp.
Developed by OpenAI’s generative AI (GenAI) chatbot, ChatGPT, the service delivers rapid, personalized responses to user requests.
Initially introduced as a basic delivery service, Khadoom has evolved by leveraging an application programming interface (API) and an AI model, becoming a comprehensive assistant.

The AI platform enables users to submit task requests via text or voice messages in WhatsApp, processing requests in real time. Upon receiving an order, Khadoom interacts with users to collect details, including item specifications, location, and delivery schedules, and provides the assigned rider’s name and license plate number.
Moreover, the AI-powered assistant boasts a ‘Connect to Rider’ feature, enabling direct communication between users and riders across the platform. The service operates with unrestricted delivery across Qatar, providing comprehensive coverage, particularly in areas covered by standard navigation systems.
The platform’s key features include multilingual support, a price differentiator, records of past purchases, and common locations.
The development of Qatar’s Khadoom further reflects the country’s booming AI market, which is expected to reach USD 567.10 million (QAR 2.06 billion) in 2025.
Khadoom represents a substantial advancement in Qatar’s technological landscape, exemplifying the country’s commitment to digital innovation and positioning Qatar as an emerging hub for AI-driven solutions.
